We are not only called to be discipled by Jesus but also commissioned by Jesus to make and multiply disciples. This isn't just for pastors or leaders — it's for every believer at Citylight Southwest Iowa.

The Call
What Is a Disciple?
A disciple is someone who spends time with Jesus, becomes like Jesus, and does what Jesus did in every part of life, by the Spirit's power, for the redemption of the world, to the glory of God.
Being with Jesus
Cultivates a continual awareness and closeness to Jesus.
Become Like Jesus
Cultivates continual character transformation into the likeness of Jesus.
Doing as Jesus Did
Cultivates continual outward actions of good works in response to Jesus' mission.
Our discipleship pathway is a tool to be used with a mentor to help you identify, measure, and encourage spiritual maturity by asking: Where am I in my walk with Jesus? What is my next step of faithfulness to look more like Jesus and do the things He did? Where am I investing in someone else who is spiritually younger than me and where is that helping me further mature?
